Automotive Service Technician

Our independently owned and operated repair facility is in search of a skilled and experienced technician.
Candidates should possess strong diagnostic abilities, the appropriate tools, and several years of hands-on experience.
If you have the mechanical experience we’re searching for, apply today! Responsibilities Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics.
Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems.
Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more.
Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system.
Perform routine maintenance, as needed, like checking fluid levels, rotating tires, and oil changes.
Qualifications National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is strongly desired.
Strong customer service and communication skills are needed.
GED or high school diploma is mandatory.
Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal.
Compensation $20 - $30 hourly DOE.
