Our Genoa headquarter is strictly inter-connected with our 11 centres around Italy and two outer-stations based in the US for a truly interdisciplinary experience.
YOUR TEAM You will join the multi-disciplinary team of developers and designers at the i Cub- Tech facility, where electronic, mechanical, and software engineers collaborate altogether, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
You will contribute to the joint laboratory between IIT and Camozzi.
Camozzi Automation is a global leader in designing and producing motion and fluid control components, systems, and technologies for Industrial automation, transportation, and life science industries.
The IIT- Camozzi joint laboratory conducts research and development in robotics and control applied to smart grippers and actuators.
This joint initiative aims to co-design innovative mechatronic devices in collaboration with the Camozzi Mechatronic Application Research Center (MARC) team.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be: To design control algorithms for enabling autonomous grasping with the grippers by resorting to cutting-edge AI tools for the embedded domain.
To address grasping scenarios of increasing complexity (e. g. , with and without clutter, bin picking vs. affordance-based grasping).
To deploy production code on the embedded control boards with model-based techniques.
To design and execute experiments for the validation of algorithms and models.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields.
Experience with model-based engineering tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
Basic knowledge of AI-based and machine-learning methodologies.
Good communication skills and ability to cooperate.
Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
Proficient in English, written and oral.
EXTRA AWESOME Experience with robot middleware systems such as ROS, ROS2, OPC UA, or YARP.
Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanical engineering, and control.
Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, and robotics foundations.
Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python.
Experience with embedded software development.
Experience with simulation tools.
