This role requires a strategic thinker who can write, edit, and amplify stories in a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with the management team, playing a senior role that involves a hands-on approach to executing various communication tasks.
Every project undertaken must start with a specific goal directly linked to the goals of each service.
While you may collaborate with external partners, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and handle much of the work directly.
The position is based in Bergamo, Italy, and is a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities Communication Strategies and Service Goals: Develop and implement communication strategies for the continuous delivery of CIID culture, projects, and business strategy, both internally and externally, with a focus on achieving specific goals of each service, such as attracting talented participants for the Interaction Design Programme and pop-up schools, as well as building relationships with corporate partners that align with our life-centered approach.
Global Communication Management: Ensure the communication of CIID's initiatives and achievements is consistent and impactful across all regions, enhancing the institute's global presence.
Content Creation and Promotion: Write web content, press releases, newsletters, formal email announcements, and planned publications aimed at meeting predefined goals.
Promote special events and manage PR opportunities/interviews, ensuring they align with specific objectives of each service.
Internal and External Communication: Create and distribute internal newsletters, ensure adherence to brand guidelines, and create networking opportunities for the CEO and other employees to support service goals.
Work with our social media team to ensure communications are on brand and aligned with the goals of each service.
Media and Storytelling: Manage media relations/networks, maximise media opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with media/journalists, and keep up with projects to identify storytelling opportunities that align with the goals of each service.
Press- Ready Content and Case Studies: Create an archive of press-ready images, videos, and quotes from the CIID team, monitor press mentions of CIID, and write and edit case studies based on CIID’s work with partners, highlighting achievements related to the goals of each service.
Qualifications Language Skills: Fluent in both spoken and written English.
Knowledge of Italian would be a bonus.
Writing and Communication: Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Collaboration: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative working environment.
Public Relations: Willing to act as the face of CIID at networking events.
Strategy: Experience in branded communication strategy, including social media.
Portfolio: Published writing samples.
Personal Attributes Design Passion: A genuine passion for design and technology.
Societal Issues: Vested interest in environmental and societal issues.
Relationship Builder: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
Leadership: Keen to work collaboratively with the management team.
Versatile Communication: Equally adept at communicating in corporate, nonprofit, and governmental agency environments.
Hands- On Approach: Willingness to execute tasks directly and work hands-on in various communication activities.
