ITT operates through three Value Centers (business units): Motion Technologies (“MT”) designs and manufactures brake pads, shock absorbers, buffers and couplers and sealing solutions for the automotive and rail markets.
MT is based in Barge, Italy.
Industrial Process (“IP”) designs and manufactures pumps, valves, monitoring and control systems, water treatment and aftermarket services for the chemical, oil and gas, mining and other industrial process markets, as well as global service capabilities.
IP is based in Seneca Falls, N.
Y.
Connect and Control Technologies (CCT) designs and manufactures harsh-environment connector and critical energy absorption and flow control components primarily for the aerospace, defense and industrial markets.
CCT is based in Valencia, CA.
Essential Responsibilities Your day in the life of Executive Director, CIO at ITT The Executive Director & Value Center Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the development of strategic plans, perform organization and talent management, and direct business applications and technology deployment on a global basis for the Motion Technologies Value Center.
She/ He will be responsible for the full and comprehensive digital footprint of applications and services used in performance of the MT Value Center - both strategic planning / execution and day-to-day operations.
In addition, this role will interface with MT & ITT senior management to establish strategies that have a direct impact on process efficiency and competitive capabilities.
This role is responsible for ensuring that their organization and IT service delivery model is effectively and efficiently supporting the day-to-day operational needs, as well as envisioning, recommending, and facilitating business changes to automate, streamline and ensure a highly available service offering for our internal and external customers.
You will be providing expert oversight, ensuring successful delivery and performance of IT services for the organization.
Furthermore, you will be entrusted to transform the organization from “order-taker” to business partner and proactive enabler; this will result in a significant change management effort at all levels of the organization – including but not limited to staffing, project intake, prioritization, delivery and most importantly how we engage with our stakeholders and business process owners are all levels of the service delivery lifecycle.

Furthermore, a successful person in this role will be able to identify and exploit opportunities that enable continuous business process improvement, leveraging information technology to automate and streamline a wide array of business processes from sales to manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities: Define, implement, and drive the digital transformation to support the company’s vision and strategic priorities.
Manage business relationships through program management, tracking the activities of the customer support process and insuring the availability, responsiveness, and effective utilization of the IT resources to the value center and ITT shared services and consultants.
Partner with the business to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities and provide best-in-class solutions that create value and competitive advantage.
Proactively promote ideas, opportunities, and solutions to support the business.
Promote, lead and drive a data first mentality at all levels of the organization, both business and IT; enable capabilities to drive meaningful, actionable insights in an efficient and effective manner.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define data-driven strategies and initiatives that will contribute to the company's growth and success.
Assess and prioritize all related efforts to make best use of resources that maximize value delivered to the business.
Assess, develop and grow your geographically diverse staff; continually look for opportunities to provide experiences and exposure to up-skill your staff (hard and soft skills) which enable a high performance culture.
Develop and implement application strategies and technologies that enable the business to continually improve and streamline operations.
Work with the business to understand the needs and establish IT strategies that enable business growth and improve business process efficiency and sustainability.
Manage the business relationship between MT stakeholders and the IT team(s) that represent the Value Center’s interests both with your organization as well as in conjunction with the corporate IT shared function.
Manage Local and Enterprise applications for MT – break/fix, enhancements, and projects for new functionality.
Work with the business to create, implement, and manage a global long term ERP strategy and roadmap.
Support SOX compliance, Security Compliance, M&A activities, and growth opportunities in the Emerging Markets for the business.
Develop and present project and technology proposals, and provide status and progress reporting to leadership Focus on talent development and creating a highly engaged and energized global team; recognize development needs, provide coaching and create opportunities for personal and professional growth; energize the team.
Act a change manager enabler and leader with the business to drive standards and improve customer service and efficiency.
Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
Implement and operate on a daily basis using continuous process improvement as a way of life. (e. g. , Lean, ITIL, Six Sigma methodologies).
Position Requirements What will make you our perfect match? Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership of large-scale systems planning, analysis, design, and development projects.
Deep seeded manufacturing industry experience required; automotive industry experience highly desirable.
This person must be able to demonstrate the proven experience and skills in leading previous digital transformations for a geographically diverse business.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with ERP system rationalization, consolidation, and implementations.
Experience with SAP ECC6 required.
Experience with Suite on HANA and S/4 HANA highly desirable.
Experience with Industry 3. 0 & 4. 0 enablement for manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
Passion for customer service, improving business processes and finding new ways to enable operational efficiencies through use of information technology.
Experience in developing and implementing an analytics strategy is a plus.
Highly motivated and responsive to business needs.
Strong team player across the business functions and within the IT teams.
High level of skill and expertise in holding others accountable in the performance of IT service delivery.
Expert negotiation skills to advocate on behalf of the business with both internal stakeholders and external vendors / service providers.
Experience with advanced management techniques and practices including career management, budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting.
Well-developed and regularly demonstrated managerial competencies including but limited to leadership, team-building, self-confidence, results orientation, interpersonal astuteness, visioning, strategic planning, and communications.
Technical competence in both infrastructure and application configuration, development, and deployment projects.
Expertise in AI/ML techniques, tools, and frameworks is desirable.
Strong project management and prioritization skills is required.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
Ability to be challenged with ambiguous situations; dissect and plan the work that simplifies the work for themselves and others, with a focus on delivering results.
Passion for data and innovation.
Experience with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures is a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects to completion while maintaining quality standards and project deadlines.
Experience with complex, cloud-based enterprise environments is a plus.
Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the ability to gather requirements from, and engage with, non-technical Executives and their teams to design effective, efficient solutions.
Strong influencing skills leading technology discussions at the senior leadership level.
