The research in the DI centre also involves fields related to digital agriculture, cultural heritage, and geomatics. The Technologies of Vision ( TeV) research laboratory conducts research in the fields of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Robotic Perception.
TeV focuses on developing techniques for 2D and 3D scene understanding, including classification, detection, segmentation, tracking, foundation models, large multimodal models, and neural rendering.
Its research has applications in various domains: Industry: Scene analysis for quality control, robotic manipulation, and navigation.
Agriculture: Drone imaging, 3D reconstruction, and segmentation.
Sports: Ball and player tracking.
Security: Document analysis and verification.
Agents: Visual language assistants, and visual speech recognition. More information about the TeV lab is available at .

Job Description The successful candidate is expected to conduct research and development activities in visual scene understanding, focusing on object detection and segmentation, vision-language foundation models, object tracking, and 3D data processing.
Keeping pace with recent advancements in the field, the research will emphasize applying image- and video-based deep learning techniques to challenging real-world automatic recognition problems.
The successful candidate will be involved in both industrial and European projects, as well as internal research activities aimed at publishing in top-tier venues.
Job requirements: Master in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields; Solid skills in traditional and deep learning-based computer vision; Experience (at least 1 year) in computer vision and deep learning; Ability to work and deliver in funded research projects; Knowledge of GNU- Linux operating systems, Python and C/C++ programming languages, and Py Torch environment for deep learning applications; Oral and written proficiency in English; Self-driven attitude and ability to work in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to achieve assigned objectives and to realize practical applications; Good communication and relational skills; Skills in problem solving. Employment Type of contract: fixed-term contract Duration: 1 year.
This contract may be extended upon project funding.
