Who are we looking for? Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the Production and Logistics Manager has full responsibility for planning, production and logistics.
By coordinating around 40 resources, she/he aims to bring production processes to a high level of efficiency in terms of time, cost and safety.
She/ He must identify and eliminate bottlenecks and ensure optimal integration with product lines and between production and other functions ( Sales, EH&S, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, PDM).
She/ He will be asked to actively participate in future business projects, both in terms of implementing lean production and increasing the level of automation and employee involvement.
This position is located in San Martino di Trecate (NO), Italy.
What will you be doing? Ensure compliance with production plans in terms of quality, quantity and timing compared to the budgets required by the Business Unit.
Monitor the plant's key performance indicators (KP Is).
Ensure the definition of policies, production procedures and resource allocation.
Ensure the release of daily and monthly reports to track production performance.
Ensure full compliance with local HSE legislation and site rules, guaranteeing the safety of people and production facilities, as regulated by Dlgs 105/2015 and 81/2008.
Manage the continuous improvement of all safety/health (ISO 45001), environmental (ISO 14001) and quality (ISO 9001) procedures.
Work with the QC department to analyze complaints through root cause identification models, implementation of corrective actions, and achievement of quality KP Is.
Work with the Supply Chain Data Specialist to assess feasibility of new products, update SAP data according to manufacturing and logistics needs and changes.
Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules, failure analysis and follow up on improvement plan.
Collaborate with the Process Engineer to define the annual investment plan, prepare solid feasibility studies based on data, start up new equipment in full compliance with the project schedule.
Work with the Site Manager to maintain relationships with local unions.
Manage performance appraisals, set annual objectives for direct reports and propose appropriate salary reviews.
Manage employee development in close cooperation with HR.
Who are You? The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or similar) and be willing to develop a career in a manufacturing facility with a variety of responsibilities.
What competencies will you need? Significant experience (3 to 5 years) in the chemical industry is required, in complex chemical processes; ability to lead a team; good command of English.
Knowledge of office automation and SAP.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, lead a project team and achieve challenging goals.
The role requires a high degree of autonomy.
