YOUR TEAM You’d be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where biomedical, mechanical, automation, and electrical engineers, computational scientists and computer technician collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research within the EU project Ergo Lean (funded by the European Union's H2020 Programme with Grant Agreement 850932) The research focuses on the development of control (e. g. , adaptive and robust controllers) and machine learning (e. g. , deep reinforcement learning) for control of mobile collaborative robots in interactive tasks, in particular with humans.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be: theoretical and hands-on research on control and ML for HRI using fixed- and mobile-base collaborative robots,testing and validation of the algorithms and hardware solutions,supervision of PhD and M Sc students, andpreparation of grants and support of the general activities of the lab.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS PhD degree with a strong background in one or multiple of the following topics: robot planning and control and physical human-robot interaction.
