Role Overview – Grant Specialist ( Temporary Contract) We are looking for a Grant Specialist to support the fast-growing of Cube Labs’ pharma, nutraceuticals, biotech, med-tech and digital health Portfolio companies.
This is an operational role in a rapidly growing company with international exposure and a brilliant multidisciplinary team who have extensive experience in the life science and healthcare sector.
What you’ll do: Identification of Regional National and European grants in the Biotech- Med Tech sector (EU Horizon, EIC); Feasibility assessment and screening of grants based on company fit.
Coordinating the grant selection team to gather all feedback and assess the approval to start the application process.
Writing and developing of the grant application using existing material, and creation of new material where required.
Identification of project partners where required, and collaboration with project partners to put together the application.
Cooperation with cross-functional team (e. g.
Finance, Program Management, Marketing, Science) to plan and drive the application by aligning company goals with grant requirements.
Coordinating the stakeholders involved in the process to ensure they provide the required material in time and with quality.
Validation of information included in the grant applications through direct follow-up with portfolio company scientists and other key personnel as well as secondary research.
Review of grant applications from initial screening through the presentation.
Submitting and monitoring the status of the applications.
Reporting and following up to the Leadership Team Meeting with regular data and key information.
Supporting successful grant applicants during the grant monitoring process, including the following: Performance of standard operating procedures after the approval of applications, including but not limited to follow-up and assistance to the applicant for all requested supporting documents, equipment quotation verification, definition of the payment schedule, grant agreement drafting, payment and equipment delivery monitoring.
Monitoring the status of approved grants to ensure the full, timely utilization of all grant’s funds and compliance with the grant agreement.
Reporting of all undertaken activities on the grant management system and contribution to related project reporting.
Supporting the training for the implementing partners in charge of grant applications.
Validation of all reviews performed by the implementing partners.
Liaising with implementing partners on behalf of the Project, monitoring and evaluating the performance of implementing partners.
Supporting implementation partners in launching applications, as well as in receiving, screening, and evaluating submitted investment proposals.
Who you are: Education: M Sc in STEM, Life Sciences or related fields.
PhD would be a plus.
At least 1-2 years of previous experience working with grant projects, grant systems, processes and templates.
Previous and proved experiences on project management, including the use of software for creation of Gantt charts, critical paths and work packages.
Experience and capability of working in a multidisciplinary context to achieve results and completion of work.
Rigor and demonstrated attention to details.
Results driven, Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement: go better with can-do attitude who’s ready to jump in and not afraid to be fully hands on.
Ability to take ownership and accountability for assigned processes and to work autonomously.
Quality of both oral and written communication skills.
Language skills: English Fluent (C1).
