Individual tasks assigned and competencies required are those defined per applicable International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) manual ( Essentials of firefighting), and Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications.
Assignments are clear and directly related.
Subject to daily training to maintain proficiency.
Essential components of work assignments: - Structural Firefighting; - Emergency Medical Response; - Hazardous Material Response; - Related Aid and Rescue work associated with facilities and operations; - Interaction with Host Nation responders for potential multi-agency emergencies; - Knowledge of the function of controls and regulations as well as their testing and evaluation; - Risk assessment of the operation of electrical devices, equipment, and systems; - Knowledge of Host Nation policies, protocols, procedures, and equipment; - Certification for Technical Suitability for the performance of the role of "firefighter"; - Knowledge of the principles of hydraulic calculation pertaining to water-flow friction, loss, and pump pressures, etc. - Knowledge of special safety equipment, tools, and extinguishing agents.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 42 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts which cover the 24 hours and include weekends, holidays, and days of rest.
Qualifikationsanforderungen Applicants must have six months of general work experience, namely, any type of work not necessarily related to firefighting.
NOTE: A command of the English language sufficient to understand basic fire protection and prevention terminology is required.
HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED: In order to qualify for this position, your application must provide sufficient experience to meet the requirements of the position.
You will be rated based on the experience described on your application.

Beschäftigungsbedingungen Within 12 months, incumbent must be able to: - Obtain and then maintain an Italian driver's license type "C" and the equivalent military driver's license; - Obtain and then maintain the " Attestato di idoneità tecnica per l'espletamento dell'incarico di Addetto Antincendio" Livello 3 (D.
M. 02/09/2021); - Obtain and then maintain certifications required by Italian law, according to Legislative Decree 81/08, art. 37 and reference technical standards; - Obtain and then maintain current First Aid level certification or higher.
Equivalent training and certification which meets or exceeds American Red Cross First Aid standards is acceptable.
Training may be received from any authorized certification granting authority or agency such as the Military Training Network, American Red Cross or Italian Green Cross (i. e.
Croce Verde Italia); - Obtain and then maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS/BLSD) certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults, children and infants; - Complete DoD Hazmat Awareness training.
