Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain.
The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world.
Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non- Radar Surveillance Products.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our Operations team as we enhance and optimize our data architecture.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, with a focus on automating data updates and ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our SQL-based data lake.
In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce key performance indicators (KP Is) and business metrics, facilitating data-driven decision-making andcontributing to the development of data-driven strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent technical skills in Python and SQL, and a keen interest in the business aspect of our operations.
Responsibilities:• Design, build, and maintain our data architecture, ensuring the seamless flow and integration of data across various systems and platforms. • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data updates, quality checks, and data transformations, optimizing efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into actionable insights, KP Is, and business metrics. • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, generating valuable insights to support business decision-making processes. • Contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies, leveraging your understanding of both data analytics and business objectives. • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as IT, operations, and finance to ensure data governance, data integrity, and security. • Communicate data findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Stay up-to-date with new developments in data analysis, technology, and industry best practices, actively seeking opportunities for continuous learning and improvement. • Suggest new applications of AI and Machine Learning based on intimacy with data and operational processes Education & Experience• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or a relateddiscipline.
A master's degree is a plus. • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in building and maintaining SQL-based data lakes and automating data processes using Python scripts. • Solid understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data integration techniques. • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, extracting insights from complex datasets, and producing KP Is and business metrics. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, assess, and interpret large volumes of data effectively. • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights with organizational goals and strategy. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e. g. , Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis tools is preferred. • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
