Commercial Concrete Estimator Caldo Concrete is seeking an Estimator for their commercial concrete construction sector.
The individual in this role will need to be detail-oriented with the ability to read blueprints and communicate with customers, clients, and general contractors in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will: Estimate commercial concrete construction project costs.
Review detailed blueprints.
Draft proposals based on plans and perform takeoffs.
Negotiate prices with vendors for needed supplies and materials.
Review all scopes of work.
Assist with value engineering and negotiations.
Review contracts for accuracy and discrepancies.
Work with project managers and supervisors.
Be responsible for pre-construction duties including contract review, submittals, and fabrication.
Generate and submit technical records, RF Is, inspection records, and closeout reports.
Meet with owners, general contractors, and others in a professional manner, effectively communicating the concerns and best interests of the company.
Sourcing materials and prices for each project.
The successful candidate will have: Knowledge of concrete construction.
Proficient computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to read and interpret plans.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Experience/knowledge of construction.
