AREA SALES MANAGER

Our client is an international company in the cable and wire industry that is developping its business in the Italian market.
We are searching an AREA SALES MANAGER (NORTH ITALY) Reporting to the South Europe Sales Director, he/she will identify and realize new opportunities/projects at the existing customer base but also identify new potential customer in the North Italy, working close with the Engineering Organization.
Main responsibilities Analyze the existing customers in different markets ( Inustry, Defense, Medical, etc. ) Identify new opportunities and drive the project through Engineering Organization Define and develop an account/territory strategy/plans Plan the territory budget, set up and follow up on business results Stay in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure ongoing support and communication Liaise closely with multiple functions, to ensure supporting services and project realization for the customer Coordinate with internal disciplines to serve the customer on time in terms of quotations, quality complaints, logistics, technical information, etc.
Engage and drive the organization to support and respond in the timeframe and at the quality level expected (logistics, quality) Requirements We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in electrical / electromechanical engineering or equivalent, with minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in a similar industry (cables, wires, connectivity solutions, mechanical/electrical components, etc. ).
Good sales skills and a new business hunting mindset are necessary as well as strong project management skills.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual and highly organized, able to work effectively remotely with a high level of customer visits within the territory.
Knowledge of the cable and wire industry and technology is desirable.
Fluent English is a must.
French in addition will be highly appreciated.
