The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to oversee and coordinate the procurement and the movement of all materials along our supply chain, from vendors to our distribution centers.
Responsibilities and requirements:
• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency enhancement.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability in accordance to Global Supply Management Team and Corporate Policy.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers in accordance to Global Supply Management Team and Corporate Policy.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and resolve any issues that arise.
• Oversee the procurement process, including the sourcing of materials, goods, and services.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Implement inventory control measures and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
• Forecast demand and plan inventory requirements accordingly.
• Coordinate and manage logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing (distribution out of scope).
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency in accordance to Global Supply Management Team and Corporate Policy.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KP Is) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing and supply chain operations.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on supply chain performance and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and control supply chain costs to ensure budget adherence and productivity targets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve cost reductions.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and compliance risks.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement and supply chain professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Utilize supply chain management software (SAP, Office 365) and systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and implement relevant tools to enhance supply chain processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, finance, quality, engineering and continuous improvement to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Act as a liaison between the company and external suppliers, customers, and logistics providers.
• Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, systems, and technologies.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain performance.
Requirements:
• Proven working experience as a Supply Chain Manager;
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management;
• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff;
• Proficient in standard logistics software;
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects;
• BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain;
• Excellent English knowledge;
• Teamwork skills;
• Managerial skills;
• Ability to motivate others;
• Interpersonal skills;
• IT skills;
• Ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected changes.
