No Offer Description Colorectal cancer (CRC) represents one of the most prevalent and lethal cancers worldwide.
A key feature of CRC cells is their capacity for metabolic reprogramming to fuel rapid tumor growth and resist various therapies, presenting significant treatment challenges.
This project seeks to investigate actionable metabolic pathways, focusing on lipid metabolism dysregulation, a well-established hallmark of cancer.
Our aim is to identify novel therapeutic strategies that exploit metabolic vulnerabilities in CRC.
Specifically, the researcher will explore lipidomic dependencies in preclinical CRC models with acquired resistance to targeted therapies, examining the role of lipid droplets in modulating drug resistance.
The ultimate goal is to develop therapies that disrupt CRC lipid metabolism, potentially increasing cancer cells' sensitivity to existing treatments and overcoming resistance.
