No Offer Description The aim of the 2-year StIC R&D project is to increase the sustainability and efficiency of the construction of dry-stone geotechnical structures, e. g. , retaining walls and foundations, through the use of dry-stone hybrid structures.
The project defines a new experimental process based on rigorous and check tests.
The rigorous tests were performed in the research laboratory to characterize the mechanical behaviour of the structures, while the check tests will be performed on-site or in the factory to verify their behaviour.
Tests will be carried out for two hybrid structures: the Ledro Steel Box (LSB) and the Ledro Steel Foundation (LSF) produced by Metallurgica Ledrense Soc.
