ENVISION YOUR FUTURE JOB:   The position of Lens Innovation Senior Project Manager is part of the Innovation function of Sun Lens Business Unit.
Mission of the role is to ideate and follow scientific projects related to sun lenses business, Plano &RX.
Aim of the position is to conduct feasibility study and to go through the design concept proof to reach final qualification in accordance with vision performance LAB of Sun Lenses.
Timeline of the project should be designed in order to match the strategical plan of lens launch policy.
Innovation Senior Project Manager is in charge to find solutions of materials and technologies also scouting from any other business applications or field.   Following the phase &gate approach, frame the innovation project to ensure the smooth hand over to the industrialization team.
The role required perseverance, resilience, autonomy in work and the ability to mentor junior profiles.     AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:   Feasibility accomplishment (tech specs, timing, cost) for the assigned projects  Proof of concept accomplishment (tech specs, timing, cost) for the assigned projects Ideate new concept and technical solution   PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE:   •     Educational Background in Materials Engineering (preferred) or Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering •    Deep technical knowledge in one or more of this field: Material, Chemicals, Coating, Process, Molding. •    Good scientific background, able to investigate and deeply study specific topics or issues •    Having managed: project planning, trial scheduling, problem solving, supplier cooperating •     You love challenges and you take your responsibility seriously •     Perseverance, resilience, autonomy in work and the ability to mentor junior profiles •     You have strong facilitation and communication skills, you are able to present information to all levels of the organization •     You are fluent in Italian and English     WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?   In Essilor Luxottica you have the feeling of being part of a “success story”, no matter where you work in the Essilor Luxottica world, you can really make an impact.
