The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science. HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally. In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT’s technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
HT is looking for a highly motivated Legal Compliance Specialist to work in the Legal Department.
Under the supervision of the Legal Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in providing legal operational support to the scientific research activities of the Foundation, focusing on personal data protection, conflicts of interest, transparency, and other relevant compliance and regulatory matters, as well as on research-related agreements and other contractual matters.
Your main tasks and responsibilities
• Review and update internal policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes;
• Support the development of compliance frameworks and processes, particularly concerning data and material transfers for scientific research activities;
• Monitor the correct implementation of GDPR, Data Protection laws and regulations, Transparency, and AML provisions;
• Support reporting activities, providing data and updates on regulatory frameworks;
• Develop and maintain privacy management systems to ensure compliance with data protection regulations;
• Provide operational support in identifying and monitoring potential conflicts of interest within the organization;
• Collaborate with the Legal - Compliance Manager in engaging with external regulatory bodies and authorities to provide declarations, statements, and acknowledgements;
• Liaise with colleagues and externals to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the documentation pertaining the matters relevant to the position;
• Drafting and negotiating agreements pertaining scientific research and other activities (including collaboration, material/data transfer and non-disclosure agreements).
Mandatory requirements
• Master’s degree in Law ( Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza: LMG-01) with final grade of at least 100/110 (or equivalent);
• 1-5 years of work experience in compliance and/or legal;
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR,, transparency laws, and D. Lgs. 231/2001);
• Ability to assist in the development of policies and compliance frameworks;
• Fluency in Italian and English, both oral and written (HT is an international institute based in Italy).
Preferential requirements
• Previous experience dealing with matters relevant to the advertised position, either gained as in-house legal counsel or within law firms;
• Relevant work experience gained in complex or institutional environments;
• Relevant work experience gained in life sciences research institutes

Contract offered: CCNL Chimico Farmaceutico; permanent; Employee level.
Salary range: up to € 37k (+ welfare plan) based on previous experience and competences.
The position is based in Milan.
