JR46865 Vimercate Laboratory Manager Job Description As a Manager at GEL Vimercate laboratory, you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to enable superior functional service delivery.
You will be responsible for managing and improving functional area performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute service strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives and Business needs.
You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans.
You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities.
Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.

Accountable to prepare and support Laboratory Audits. Â Field capital and space requests from various engineering groups assessing worldwide inventory, location, and footprint Define and implement elite processes for equipment maintenance to drive equipment uptime and efficiency Provide Organizational Leadership to Build Functional Strategies, Processes, and Policy Create and execute strategies according to requirements ( stakeholder, regulatory, corporate, departmental) Monitor performance to plan Maintain domain knowledge to provide subject matter expertise Actively participate in or lead functional teams and projects Mentor functional leaders Collaborate with peers to construct global solutions Manage conflict and identify escalation paths Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions Identify and understand service requirements Communicate capabilities to ensure stakeholder expectations are met Develop metrics to clarify deliverables Provide functional area expertise to customers and other stakeholders Coordinate functional services with peer group and internal global partners Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Internal stakeholders are all BU and Engineering groups in operating in Vimercate.
Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies Communicate requirements to applicable team members and external stakeholders Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues EducationBS in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Technology, Industrial Electronics, Computer Technologypreferred, or equivalent with appropriate experience Good English knowledge (reading, writing and speaking) Experience Experience leading technical teams of at least 5 people.
Experience with Laboratory equipment to process both wafers and packaged parts Experience with the capital process and approval flows Workplace Travel Required Yes Environment Full day 5/7 - 100% on-site (no WFH)
