The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual support to the patients and families in keeping with the patient/family’s desire and belief system. The hospice chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team. Acts as a grief support system to staff and community in the way of support groups.

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in religion, ministry, psychology or other related field.

Preferred Education:
Masters degree in divinity, religion, psychology, and/or counseling.

Required Technical Skills:  
Computer skills

Required Licensure / Registration/ Certification:
Texas Driver’s License; Valid Auto Liability Insurance

Preferred Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
APC OR NACC Certification

Required Experience:
3-5 years experience as a Chaplain or Counselor.

Preferred Experience:
1-2 years as a Chaplain in a hospice, hospital, or other health related field
