You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group and collaborate to carry out common research within outstanding facilities.
For this post, the research aims to develop an integrated electronic system for flexible large-area electronic skin and tactile sensing arrays.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be: Design and development of hardware and firmware systems for large-area flexible electronic skins and soft tactile sensing arrays Testing of the developed systems ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS M Sc in electrical or electronic engineering and experience in working in a research & development environment.
Strong skills in: Electrical CAD (e. g. , Altium, Autodesk Fusion, etc. ) and simulation tools (e. g. , Spice) for PCB layouts and design Rigid and flexible PCB assembly and testing processes Microcontroller programming and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART Use of electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers, analyzers Software/programming languages (e. g. , C/C++, Labview, Matlab, etc. ) for sensor testing and firmware development and debugging The ability to properly report, organize, and publish research data Good command of spoken and written English ADDITIONAL SKILLS Knowledge of stretchable electronics Good communication skills Strong problem-solving attitude High motivation to learn Spirit of innovation and creativity Good in time and priority management Ability to work in a challenging and international environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment COMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive salary for international standards Wide range of staff discounts Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who permanently work abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
