About the role Our Process team, composed of 15 people, is integrated into the Group Engineering & Construction (GEC) department and focuses on providing technical support to all the Global Business Units (GB Us) of the Solvay Group, in collaboration with multiple departments.
As an Environment Process Specialist , you will be responsible, personally or as part of a team, for carrying out environmental studies, whether in the context of designing new installations, modifying existing installations, improving the performance of water, air & wastewater treatment plants or developing innovation projects in partnership with Research & Innovation.
You will apply the regulatory guidelines of the different countries, use the internal design tools of GEC Process Engineering and develop your tools if needed.
You will be accountable for: Perform, contribute to, or supervise Studies to design Water, Air and Liquid effluent treatment or check and improve the performance of existing ones, to ensure regulatory compliance while optimizing investment (CAPEX) and operational costs (OPEX) Be the first contact for the GB Us on technical matters related to Water, Air and Liquid Effluent Treatment Maintain and develop knowhow on the processes in your domain of expertise by following the evolution of the techniques and managing the necessary documentation available to the entire Group Ensure a technical watch for anticipated regulation changes; knowledge of Best Available Technologies; knowledge of key equipment and services vendors' capabilities in EMEA Conduct training activities for colleagues We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid/travel working mode.
Willingness to travel for short periods, including internationally, is necessary (with a one-week trip to Lyon every month).
About you Master's degree in Environmental Management ( Water & Environmental Engineering) or equivalent through significant and recognized experience 10 to 15 years of experience in the Environmental Domain (in Plant, Laboratory, or other support activity) Thorough knowledge of Treatment Methods ( Physical, Physico-chemical, Chemical, Biological, Air treatment technologies, ) and applicable Calculation tools Knowledge of French and European regulations (mandatory) Clear oral and written communication in French and English (mandatory) Behaviors: Strong Customer Orientation Proactive cooperation, ability to take initiative and act as a leader in your field Autonomy and Rigor About the pay and benefits Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role.
While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is € 45,000. 00 to € 56,000. 00, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
