The individual will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in an Agile framework, to ensure geometric compatibility, entitlement to meet system performance and demonstrating quality through the use of evidence base engineering reviews.
The EDU System Integration Lead Engineer will be a key role in the development our ED Us and is an exciting opportunity to work on electrified driveline and help shape the future of electrification.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities ● EDU geometric compatibility: o Create and publish skeleton models to define EDU component architecture o Regular publication of full assembly models in line with sprint cadence o Manage EDU assembly design freeze in line with programme gateways o Support vehicle package reviews o Complete virtual build events o Support virtual builds for rig setups ● Resolve incompatibilities through arbitration between teams: o Lead resolution of issues which cross multiple component groups through the integration design review ● Weight management: o Agree system level weight target with the powerpack team o Decompose weight target to component subsystem o Manage risk and opportunities to ensure compliance with system target ● EDU system validation: o Create test requests as required by the DFMEA o Compile evidence from test, and load test report to corporate repository o Complete Evidence based engineering reviews for EDU assembly Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: ● Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6 ● Good understanding of GD&T ● Ability to deliver training and coaching to people of varied skill levels. ● Proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions. ● Experience in project management and issue resolution. ● Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred.
