She/he is building and developing DEEP customer relationships supporting Garrett's business wins and shall be the primary point of contact for customer senior engineering executives.
Key Job Areas of Responsibilities Develop Customer Tech Roadmap and lead all pre-development activities.
Cutting across all Garrett portfolio, from the core turbo to new growth vectors (beyond Internal Combustion Engines, with Fuel Cell powertrain, full Battery Electric Vehicle platforms, and including connected vehicle product offerings).
Ensure alignment with mid to long-term customer team Strategic Plans.
Bring the latest powertrain technology trends and Voce of Customers.
Secure Biz Wins (tech offer), Flawless Launch for customers through Design Verification Plan and Report follow-up, Advanced Product Quality Planning, Risk Management & Release Letter execution & Turbocharger Release Agreement completion, Customer Engineering NPS action creation and delivery.
Ensure resolution of all customer escalations - Lead Launch Resolution Issue & Field Issue Resolution resolutions, escalate to Global Business Enterprises for rapid closure.
Manage functionally lead engineer project teams, assigned by the project to respective customers and resident office if qualified.
Ongoing coaching of lead engineers & bringing back improvements to internal functions to enable further engineering functional efficiency gains.
Responsible for the bids (tech definition and offer), leads Value Engineering / Homologation Launch Readiness Review activities, anticipates customer needs, and is involved in engineering resource planning activities for the projects launched at his/ her customers.
Ensure the latest tools & processes deployed within the project teams (adherence).
Bring new ideas and be a change agent in how to work differently and more efficiently (bottom-up vs. top-down).
Responsible for the hiring process for his project teams, in full alignment with the Global Business Enterprise’s, on-boarding and Unified Career Path process for development engineers and designers.
Support the Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Plan in close collaboration with the associated Account Directors.
Education / Qualifications Engineering University degree, Master or MBA is a plus Experience & Skills sought Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Deep understanding of customer relations & strong technical expertise in the main areas impacting successful launches.
Demonstrated skills in: Product development and component design/ manufacturing Managing a multi-cultural team, x-functional and located in different regions, team spirit Communicating and dealing with customers of different segments & cultures Strong biz acumen & customer centricity
