The Brand Center Assistant Manager highly impacts our brand and consumer experience by supporting the Brand Center Senior Manager in managing a high-volume, strategically positioned store.
The role represents the adidas brand and product in the most impactful way.
He/she supports the Senior Manager to lead the Team within a designated area of the Brand Center Store to provide outstanding consumer experience while maintaining high operational and brand standards.
The role supports the Senior Manager to work in close collaboration with both the Market and Global teams to support the implementation of the strategic direction of the Brand Center concept in the Market and across the globe.
DRIVING BRAND EXPERIENCE: Amplifies the Brand with every decision and every action Ensures event and VM execution at the highest standards Fuels the Brand passion within the team Supports and embodies that we are the Brand with retail skills Meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets Supporting the management of all resources within the designated area to provide consumers with a leading shopping experience Driving the proper execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives and directives KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Deliver exceptional consumer experience tailored to the Brand Center through ensuring outstanding execution of global brand and retail operational standards Foster a positive culture in the store and supports the Senior Manager to enable the team to create a consumer-centered, authentic, active culture in the store Understand the concept and strategic importance of the Brand Center store and think broadly when supporting with the direction of the store team and creating brand advocacy Provide regular input to the Senior Manager to allow for feedback to different departments and global teams to achieve the Brand Center ambition Support and coach associates within the designated area to drive sales and meet key performance indicators Support Store Management Team to hire, develop and build high performing employees Support Senior Manager to foster a collaborative working relationship with both the global and the Market Retail teams Provide constructive feedback to the Senior Manager and wider Retail team on success and feasibility of current and new programs, other initiatives, and specific store needs Communicate and provide visibility on product needs/other operational needs and opportunities to the Senior Manager for the designated area Act as Brand ambassador and partner within local community to promote brand and store awareness Ensure consistent implementation of all global programs, initiatives and strategies within the Brand Center store Support Senior Manager with leveraging global and local tools to lead the performance management, succession, recruiting, hiring and development activities, resulting in high employee engagement Promote a high-performance culture in the Brand Center by supporting the clear expectations set, holding employees accountable, creating an effective and efficient work environment, and supporting goals that focus the team on key drivers that impact success Support training and execution in store in all designated areas, including business, operations, sales/customer service, and visual merchandising, while also coordinating with Regional Trainer to ensure all employees are trained in Retail Standards Support the timely completion of all record keeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance appraisals, counselling, disciplinary actions and terminations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong ability to understand and use financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes Ability to use critical thinking and creative ways to solve problems Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints Ability to make recommendations that effectively resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and procedures Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills Strong ability to collaborate and influence across different levels and departments Comfortable with working in a matrix organisation Thrives under ambiguity; open to change and act as advocate for the ‘new’ Open to feedback; able to keep composure in stressful situations Passion for adidas brand and for sport Proficient with MS applications ( Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and other computer software ( Internet, POS Systems, etc) QUALIFICATIONS: ( Minimum required education and experience): Demonstrated business management skills; P&L and KPI ownership. 2 years of fashion retail management experience with a leading global brand Leadership role in a branded organization (leading teams & creating a brand experience) Minimum 2 years of relevant market experience with high street leader English fluent: B2 or above (speaking, reading, writing) and fluency in another language is highly desirable KINDLY APPLY USING A RESUME IN ENGLISH AT ADIDAS WE HAVE A WINNING CULTURE.
